What the heck is this blog?
Welp, I had spent some time exploring the roly pollies in my yard. How a simple bug (or crustacean, as I've learned) has changed my life for the better (or at least, towards a more positive light) in more ways than one. In fact, roly pollies don't ask for much, other than the ability to live freely without conflict. Sure, they have their natural defense mechanism of curling up into a ball in case they feel threatened, but at the end of the day, they don't harm or bite people.
What attracted me to roly pollies nowadays was... well, they're been in my everyday life. In other words, I've grown up with these little guys just going about their days in my yard. As a child, I would hold them and feel their shell (or exoskeleton). No two roly pollies are the same - some roly pollies have patterns, while others are a solid gray.
You can learn a lot about these tiny crustaceans just by looking at them. I suppose that's part of my "little things in life" philosophy. I tend to look at the smaller details. Some people might call it pretentious, some people might think it's annoying, but for me... I'm always learning things. In fact, not a day goes by where I haven't learned anything. I guess God wants to be like "Wait, I didn't know that!" or "Hmmm.... that sounds interesting."
So, that's what I want to do with this blog. I want to share many of the things that I've learned in life. I'll sprinkle roly poly photos and videos here and there, because the most motivating thing you can do is to show something positive for once, right? Maybe if you feel down, you can turn to this blog. If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth for cute roly poly imagery, you can turn to this blog.
So, cheers!
Your roly-poly enthusiast,
Ronnie <3
